Today’s wedding style edit from Thyme Lane Photography is one of those that make my toes tingle for how perfect it all is. The tone is moodily beautiful, with boho elegant styling in a lovely English country house. The venue – Lanwades Hall, which is hidden in the Suffolk countryside – has the most stunning rooms with beautiful light and large gardens, and the team truly made the most of the amazing location.
The shoot shows how an almost completely monochrome, minimal scheme can work in a venue like Lanwades Hall and still create a lot of interest by giving contrast to the rich colours of the great variety of backdrops.
Inspiring the shoot was a 110 years old bridal dress which Noemi at Thyme Lane Photography used in 2 ways – to match the heritage of the venue and to contrast the brand new, handmade table and ceremony arch.
“Everything we used was real vintage, recycled or handmade to minimise our carbon footprint – all our textiles are hand dyed using natural dyes only, stationery is fully handwritten on handmade paper, our table, ceremony arch and bridal accessories are handmade too. And the eucalyptus for the arch was grown in my garden!” Noemi – Thyme Lane Photography
I really hope this feature inspires you to dare to mix up heritage pieces and all things old with sleek, modern items even in a very old venue because it works so well! Choosing a few key elements in this way means you do not need to go overboard with styling your wedding day with colours and lots and lots of decoration because the textures of very simple styling combined with interesting lighting gives enough.
